Here’s a script that started as a writing exercise from an event that I read about, and it got me thinking about judgement.

Last Rite, forces the viewer to see a Black Man with a gun. We know very little of Terrance. Is he a criminal? What did he do? Can we see that he is afraid? What should he do when his past has taught him that he will be accused. The film doesn't try to answer any questions. It simply expresses hope that Lucy will see differently after she has been labeled because of her past.

What I wanted to visually express to the viewer was made possible by the dialogue that I had with Jarrod, and his thought provoking camera work was the language that the story needed.

It must be said, I am completely amazed by the generosity of others. Especially talented individuals like Paul Kelly, who gave us permission to use his music. As well as Rob Daly, who also has some recognizable credits and provided his great talents for the sound design.

As for Tina and James, they are the foundation. And to some, they owned these characters before they were ever created.
